Before turning the page, let's take a look back at 2024, a truly special year for AUMERIAL. With the launch of NTi, we took our first steps into the market for IBM i - AS/400 application modernization tools.
2024 was a bit like stepping on stage for the first time. Part excitement, part hard work, and admittedly, a few doubts at times.
Those questions found their answers over the months. Deployments of NTi in real-world environments and scenarios, thanks to customers who have placed their trust in us, have enabled us to confirm that it now clearly meets concrete, well-identified needs.
One year on, NTi works, NTi makes sense.
We have progressively improved our product with several major updates, following our initial specifications and taking into account feedback from our users:
- Version 3.0 : Introduction of NTi EF Core 8 and NTi Toolbox extensions
- Version 3.1 : Support for writing to LOBs (Large Objects), extending complex data management capabilities.
- Version 3.2 : Network and memory improvements.
Every feedback, every test, every unexpected use has contributed to making NTi a precise and accomplished product, perfectly adapted to the requirements of an IBM i environment. It's these adjustments, these small details, that make all the difference and make a solution truly effective.
A new year means new resolutions, right?
In 2025, we will continue to improve NTi, notably by enriching Toolbox extension with new methods for administering and automating your IBM i processes.
We'll also be introducing a new version, with the implementation of connection pools, enabling you to better parameterize and manage connections to your IBM i, for greater efficiency and optimized resource management, even under heavy loads.
Beyond technical features, we know that a successful project also means supporting the people behind it. That's why we're here to help you make the right choices.
Discussions at the IBM i 2024 Universities confirmed the growing interest in solutions like NTi. Many companies are still reluctant to modernize their applications, for fear of disrupting the stability of their systems, or for lack of time to get projects off the ground. Just know that a gradual, controlled evolution is entirely possible.
